JOHANNESBURG – It’s just a few days to go to the Easter long Weekend.

Holiday makers will be traveling to their preferred destinations.

South Africa has historically faced alarming road safety challenges during the Easter holiday period.

Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga, says 225 people died in 185 fatal crashes over the four-day Easter weekend in 2023 .

This is a 40% increase on the number of deaths in 2022.

JC Auditors are encouraging the road transport sector to consider initiating Easter road safety campaigns.
